Monte's Musings
I have been having such fun at the new teacher events and the "Jump Start" professional development day. I love seeing the excitement of the new teachers (we were able to gain 29 new members!). The returning teachers look so rested and tanned!
We have suspended negotiations. You will be e-mailed soon with more details. We will go back to the table the week of February 21st. At that time, we will resume the process, with a clearer idea about the financial picture of the MPS.
Please join the SQ 744 facebook page. You can get there by visiting our website and clicking the links on the left. We need friends for SQ 744 and for MACT! You will be able to become informed of the state question and the issue of funding public education in Oklahoma. NEA has donated 3 million for the SQ 744 campaign. That is your dues money coming right back to help you. They are watching closely and hoping for our success. We will be on the national radar if we can get this passed.
Please join our efforts to elect pro-public education candidates to office. We will be marching in the Red Ribbon parade in an effort to let the patrons of Moore know who we support and why. If you would like a yard sign or more information, let your building representative know or contact the office.
