Monte's Musings
The summer here at MACT has been full of activity. There is never a dull moment as the MPS opens two new elementary schools. If you are one of the teachers who has been displaced and have not received an assignment, continue to apply for all openings you are qualified. Be pro-active in finding a position you would best be suited, but you will be placed in a position before the beginning of school by the personnel director.
The MACT representatives you sent to NEA RA returned back to OKC with lots of insight about the workings of our national association. New friends and contacts from within the state and with other states were made. OEA Summer Leadership is July 21 - 22 in Tulsa. We have 4 members going. All summer planning for the New Teachers Events, RA training and Extravaganza have been ongoing. So, you can find me musing about the summers I used to laze about my house and wonder how I could fill my day! Stay safe and enjoy the remaining summer break.
